Thank you for this! I've struggled with what I post on LinkedIn vs Substack, and I've so far settled on LinkedIn being less personal, however, my personal posts get the highest engagement. Have you found a model that works?
The real advantage of mid-career isn’t just experience. It’s discernment.
AI can accelerate execution, but it can’t replace the judgment that comes from leading through difficult seasons, failed strategies, and real people. The leaders who thrive will pair curiosity with decades of hard-earned wisdom. That’s a combination worth investing in.
Yes so much of it is in the judgement and years of experience, AI does help lower the barrier to starting though. And makes it more cost effective to put your perspective to work :)
That’s a great point. I also think AI gives experienced leaders something they’ve rarely had before: leverage. For years, many of us carried insights that were difficult or expensive to package and share. Now the bottleneck isn’t creating. It’s having enough lived experience to know what is actually worth creating.

I have found that the more personal also works on Linekdin.
I am still trying to understand the new algorithm but it looks like it truly does favor authentic.
Thanks for replying. Guess its trial by error for now.
Yes LinkedIn has changed a lot because of AI content writing. I thought I had figured out the code a month or so again but back at it!
